This is a Hydrotek Meranti version of our 15.5x48 that we call a Hindman. It is a bit larger than the original double enders and just a touch smaller than the most traditional Woodies made in the 1950s. With a tapered stem and a very slight flair on frames 8 and 9 this boat is a light weight dry ride that is great on splashy class II rivers and it will handle class III with an experienced rower.

On April 28th 2007 the second annual McKenzie River Wooden Boat Festival was held on the grounds of Eagle Rock Lodge. This year’s event was attended by almost 200 people with near forty boats on hand.
